photos!
Front on this is how my sweater looks. Wish my arms didn't look so stiff. You can also see that I blocked the sweater flat and left creases down the seams. Next time I'll block them around a folded towel.
This is a close up of the knitted in set in sleeves. I really prefer this look over a dropped shoulder design. I'm still not confident I could teach this technique ... at least, I'm not sure I have the math down pat to teach anybody how to do this with any size sweater, but I'm a whole lot closer to doing so.
Here you can see how that little triangle at the shoulder seams looks - it also makes the fit nice. Of course, I am not drunk nor am I still half asleep. sometimes pictures just turn out that way.
Here is the pile of snipped off bits from the woven in ends plus the bits I cut out when I cut the neckline steek.

Bess, your cardigan looks wonderful! I love the set in sleeves! I'm not a big fan of dropped sleeves either, but never would have thought of figuring out how to modify the pattern sleeves on the fly, especially considering this was my first fair isle. Maybe next time :)
Beautiful work!

Bess, the cardigan is just STUNNING!!! Down to the very last details. Your color changes, pattern alterations, everything. I'm just in awe at your talent and thank you so very much for sharing the math and pattern changes on the blog here. The color changes on the band really do compliment your complexion, the sleeve changes are so expertly executed and finished. Everything is beautiful and you must feel so very proud. I'm proud for you! Hooray for a beautiful cardigan and thanks for your participation in the knitalong!! :)

I have so enjoyed the journey with you and now to see your beautiful finished sweater ... YES!!
By the way, I did not think you were drunk in the photo, just a little woozy after all of the math.

I was just cruising through google with a heading of Fair Isle knit picks and stumbled across your blog. Your cardigan is absolutely georgeous, and I couldn't just move on without telling you this lil strangers opinion.
Just georgeous. The colors are so inviting!
