No picture of it, but I've completed one "Cascading Leaves" sock and have cast on and begun the ribbing for sock number two.
In the past few days I have also knit one baby sock that is too small for Emeline. Drat. And the entirely wrong color for a newborn baby (though much more the proper size for one). I might do the same sock in thicker yarn and larger needles for Emeline. We'll see. I'm wanting some house slippers for her to wear this winter that aren't store-bought. I might felt her a pair of fuzzy feet (pattern on Knitty, I think) if the pattern makes one small enough. I can see myself trying to make her a pair and they won't fit for several more years.
And I also failed to ship my Preemie Project items in time for the current delivery/disbursement. It's okay (I tell myself), it won't be long until the next one and I have the pumpkin hats and booties and blanket(s maybe) to send along so it'll be a full box.
I promise to try not to take or post any more heartbreaking photos of Emeline looking for her siblings. The last one is keeping people up at night and making some want to scream and yell and is a real tear jerker for me. I won't take it away, but I'll give you this one.
Emeline likes to get into my shelf of cookbooks that I don't use much (this one happens to be the Frugal Gourmet), go over to the kitchen rug and plop down with it. She looks at the pictures and fans the pages and sometimes even reads her own books. Regardless, this is a common scene in our kitchen when I'm doing the dishes (if she's not trying to help arrange the silverware in the dishwasher for me).
