What? Shop update Monday? I did say that... but it didn't happen. It was a school holiday and you know how nothing really happens when you THINK it should. ha If only.
I HAVE done a little bitty shop update now - two new fiber colors and two new skeins of sock yarn. I have six more skeins of yarn to dye and a few more bumps of fiber. This is the last of my KnitPicks Merino sock yarn - rock bottom prices y'all because I am clearing out the old stock getting ready to order that gorgeous Benjamin base yarn (100% merino superwash with that nice tight twist) and Zephyr 50/50 merino silk lace weight. Shipping is $5 for your entire purchase up to $50 and FREE shipping when your purchase is over $50!
I had a bit of a crisis this morning thinking that my shopping cart software was going to let two people buy something when I only had ONE available. I
knew thought this was about to happen so I messed with the settings - couldn't figure out if it was working... Panic! Panic! I can't just make a 2nd skein of handspun special yarn! GAH! I deleted the listing from my shopping cart entirely when Buyer #2 had already put it in her shopping cart - the yarn that no longer should be available because it was already bought and paid for last night...! Another chat with GoDaddy helped assure me it wouldn't have happened like that if I wasn't messing with the settings in the middle of it all and helped me know exactly what setting to choose to prevent such an emergency. I don't have 3000 people trying to buy 25 mitten kits but even two people trying to buy one thing is a worry. HOPEFULLY things are going to work they way they tell me.
I'm looking forward to doing a bit more spinning this week - time to put something SUNNY on the bobbins! :)
The big kids will be visiting with their Dad this weekend so Jeff and I will be having a rare night out together with friends on Saturday night. Emeline and Lila will be having a First - they're staying over night with Jeff's mom. He started telling Emeline about it and she was really excited. I don't remember having fear issues about staying the night away from home but apparently it's a big deal for small children at first even if it's at their grandparents house (my big kids never stayed away from home until they were in elementary school). This is a frequent subject in the preschool programming the girls watch. A new show they watch on PBS is called Word World. The Word World animals were having a sleep-over at Bear's house and Duck had never slept away from his Nest before! Cute story. So Emeline was very familiar with the concerns that her favorite TV characters have experienced in the arena of sleep-overs and staying away from home for the first time. When I got home from teaching a knitting class last night she informed me she would be "Camping at Gammy's!" heh Jeff and I will go over there after spending the evening with friends and stay the night too so we'll be there in the morning when they wake up. Who knows - they might still be awake when we get there that evening? Let's hope not. :)
Everybody have a Happy Wednesday and I hope your weather isn't too nutty. Yesterday we didn't need a jacket and today the high is supposed to be 24F. Lovely. Still sweater weather. I guess that's a good thing since EPS#2 isn't finished yet!
Take good care of every little thing! XOXOXOXOX
