A Note About Materials: It is not required to use materials purchased at Sugar Bunny Boulevard for your classes. You will, however, receive a 10% discount on class materials purchased at SBB if you are enrolled in that class.

CLASSES FOR BEGINNING KNITTERS
We're going with a 4-Level Learn-To-Knit approach. Begin at your personal experience level, and progress at your own rate. Each class is a one-time two hour class. Each class uses the same size knitting needles and the patterns are included.

- KNIT! In class one you learn to cast on and knit a simple dish cloth pattern. You will learn increases and decreases and how to bind off. $20 plus materials.

- PURL! In class two you refresh your skills to cast on, knit and bind off. You will learn to purl, change colors, and read a pattern. You should know the knit stitch and have completed one small project using the knit stitch before taking this class. Your project is a Ball Band Dish Cloth. $20 plus materials.

- SHAPE! In class three you will learn how to use increases and decreases to add shaping to your knitting. This is also an introduction to lace knitting! We love getting a two-fer! You will learn two different lace knitting techinques and the special stitches associated with them that you'll encounter in typical patterns as you develop your knitting experience. This class will also introduce you to reading knitting charts. You should know the knit and purl stitches, be comfortable with casting on, and have completed at least one or two small projects using the knit and purl stitches before taking this class. $20 plus materials.
Saturday September 25, 2010 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
- FINISH! In class four you will learn how to cable and develop pattern reading skills with an introduction to knitting charts for cables (very similar to lace). We will also learn about finishing techniques including basic mattress stitch seaming and how to pick up stitches, knit on a button band, and knit a button hole. You should know the knit and purl stitches, be comfortable with casting on, and have completed at least one or two small projects using the knit and purl stitches before taking this class. This class requires a bit of homework (you will receive info about knitting swatches when you sign up) and your cabling techniques are learned using the Irish Hiking Scarf pattern. $20 plus materials.

INTERMEDIATE KNITTING
You know how to knit and purl! Wondering "What's next?" These classes will develop your pattern reading skills and knitting techniques all while making beautiful and functional knitted objects. You should be comfortable with casting on and have completed at least one or two small projects using the knit and purl stitches before taking these classes.

- ENTRELAC KNITTING Unravel the mysteries of the intriguing Entrelac Pattern. Learn the stitches and techniques used to create a woven look while making a scarf. $25 plus materials.
Thursday September 23, 2010 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
- HATS! Intimidated by knitting in the round? No more! Learn to knit in the round with double pointed needles (DPNs)! You'll be glad you did. $20 plus materials.
Thursday September 30, 2010 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
- SOCKS! Learn basic top-down sock construction knitting with DPNs and worsted weight yarn. Prior DPN experience helpful but not required. Two Sessions. $40 plus materials.
